There are definite signs that we are approaching Autumn, it doesn't feel like we've had much Summer but on the positive side, Autumn can be lovely.  The colour of the trees changing, that slightly dewy look early in the morning and of course, darker, cosy nights snuggled up on the sofa.

The beginning of September too means our thoughts are drawn to, dare I say it, Christmas.  I know for some people that means excitement and they can't wait, but for some, it can bring dread for many reasons.  Whatever your thoughts of Christmas are, one thing is sure, it will come and go as it does each year.  So, whether you are going all out to make the most of it, or you will just have a quiet time and not make a fuss, the choice is always yours.

I have to say I like the build up to Christmas, especially as a lover of all things sparkly and twinkly lights.  It gives me a warm and cosy feel, which I love.

One thing that we probably all have in common though is that we hope Christmas will be stress-free.  Being organised is key.  I am a list maker, it helps me keep my mind focused and I feel in control.

One of the things I enjoy doing on 1st December is putting my Christmas Tree up.  I do have an artificial tree which has to have the branches placed on to the centre and this takes ages with he fluffing up of them too.  This year I have decided, for the first time I would like a real tree, I may regret it as I may be forever hoovering needles up and it may look quite sorry for itself by the New Year, but I do like the idea of having one and you get that Christmas smell.

Once the tree is up, its lovely to start putting presents under it, to build up the anticipation and excitement.  I have a colour scheme for my tree and my gifts have to match.

Jewellery is always a popular choice as a gift.  The receiver of the jewellery will think of the person who bought it for them every time they wear their jewellery, and it will be with them for many years to come.

As I have said in the past, Handmade Jewellery given as a gift is so special and individual.  I have some lovely pieces on my website https://www.liveandlovebymaxine.co.uk and I will have some new pieces set with CZ stones that I will be adding to my website soon, which I'm sure you will love.

If you are thinking of giving someone special a gift from my jewellery collection, please don't leave it too late as obviously these weeks in the run up to Christmas get really busy.

If you love or hate Christmas, just remember to not stress about it and be organised.

As always, have fun and take care
